Crispy and Golden Fried Shrimp Bites

 

Ingredients:


1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined

1/2 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 cup cornstarch

1 teaspoon paprika

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon onion powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1 egg, beaten

1 cup panko breadcrumbs

Vegetable oil for frying

Lemon wedges for serving (optional)

Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Directions:


In a shallow bowl, combine flour, cornstarch, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.

In another shallow bowl, beat the egg.

Place the panko breadcrumbs in a third shallow bowl.

Dip each shrimp into the flour mixture, then the egg, and finally coat in the panko breadcrumbs, pressing gently to adhere.

Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or deep fryer over medium-high heat (about 350°F or 175°C).

Fry the shrimp in batches for about 2-3 minutes per side or until golden brown and crispy.

Remove the shrimp from the oil and drain on a paper towel-lined plate.

Serve immediately with lemon wedges and a sprinkle of fresh parsley if desired.
