Sizzling Chinese Pepper Steak

 

Ingredients:


1 lb (450g) flank steak, thinly sliced

1 bell pepper, sliced (red or green)

1 onion, sliced

3 cloves garlic, minced

2 tablespoons soy sauce

1 tablespoon oyster sauce

1 tablespoon cornstarch

2 tablespoons vegetable oil

1 teaspoon sesame oil

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Salt to taste

Cooked rice, for serving

Directions:


In a bowl, combine sliced flank steak, soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, and black pepper. Let it marinate for at least 15 minutes.

Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat. Add the marinated steak and stir-fry until browned, about 3-4 minutes. Remove the steak from the pan and set aside.

In the same pan, add a bit more oil if needed. Sauté the garlic, onion, and bell pepper for about 2-3 minutes, or until they start to soften.

Return the steak to the pan and stir everything together, cooking for another 2 minutes.

Drizzle with sesame oil and adjust seasoning with salt, if necessary. Serve hot over cooked rice.
